Alalade promises open door policy

 

The newly appointed Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Alhaji Muyideen Olaniyi Alalade has promised to operate an open door policy with the management and staff of the Ministry.

The new Commissioner stated yesterday, while speaking in a meeting held with Management of the Ministry shortly after the swearing-in ceremony performed at Government House by the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed.

A former Commissioner in the Ministry of Energy, Housing and a retired referee at the Kwara State Referee Council said, “I respect people with open mind, appreciates team work and corporation, so let’s work together and achieve a desired objectives”.

According to him, although, nobody is perfect in life but I will do everything within my power to ensure things moved as expected in my Ministry.

“Your success is my success and I believe together we shall take this Ministry to a greater height”.

Alalade, further thanked the management of the ministry for their warm reception and pray to God in His infinite mercy to guide him through and make his administration one of the best in history.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Elder Ayobola Samuel congratulated and assured the new commissioner of cooperation of the entire Staff and management of the Ministry.

Management at the meeting include the Director Personnel, Finance and Supply, Hajia Afusat Afolabi, Director of Sports, Alhaji Abubakar Olushola Shehu, Director Youth Alhaja Aishat Muhammed, Controller of Finance and Account (CFA) of the Ministry, Hajia Taibat Abdullahi and Press Secretary, Mallam Mashood Olalekan Issa-Onilu among others.

 


…Kwara SWAN congratulates new sports commissioner

T he Kwara Chapter of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), has congratulated the newly appointed Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development in the state, Hon. Muyideen Alalade.

A statement signed by the Secretary of the association in the state, Olayinka Owolewa, on Wednesday in Ilorin, urged Hon. Alalade to run an all inclusive administration.

The statement said sport is capable of giving the youth a lifetime opportunity to excel, hence, the reason the new commissioner must fashion out ways to develop the sector.

The Kwara SWAN Scribe, assured the Commissioner of the association’s support and asked him to ensure he stamp an indelible mark before leaving the position.

The statement called on the state Sports Council and his ministry to give him the needed support for him to excel at his new job.

The association urged Hon. Alalade to again earn for himself his “high flying” performance as one of the best in the state in the area of revenue generation when he was in charge of Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and later Ministry of Energy.

The statement expressed the believe that the new commissioner will return the state’s lost glory in the sector in Nigeria and bring it back to its rightful place.
