He also charged the Imams, especially those saddled with the responsibility of Friday sermons to desist from deceiving the congregation and their followers by speaking the truth always.

The Imam said this at a Juma’at service during his sermon before the traditional two unit prayer that,” Our society need truth, those that will speak it and those who will follow truth.”

“It’s the right of Imam to talk about the affair of the state and country. Any of the Imams that refuse to say the truth about what Allah said will face Allah’s wrath.”

Kamaldeen stated that, truth commands respect for Muslims adding that, the major cause of corruption is the lack of truthfulness among the people.

“To fight corruption Muslims especially and the  general public need to be truthful and God-fearing. This is the only way that we can make appreciable progress in the fight against graft.

“Imams should not engage in bribery because once they do, they will not be able to speak the truth anymore”, he added.

He tasked parents to teach and raise their children to be truthful because they are going to be leaders of tomorrow who will occupy enviable positions of authority stressing that it’s the truth and good character with worship of Allah that will take one paradise.

“Muslims should let truth be their priority and not to violate rules and regulations of Allah”.
