Our guest this week is the CEO Isha Cakes and Deserts; She is Aisha Fakunle, a Microbiologist by profession and a Chef by passion.

She impacts by sharing joy through the memories her services create. Did I tell you her cakes are just so yummy?

Do you believe in reaching out through your work, if yes how?

My work involves sharing Joy through cakes, it involves creating beautiful memories , adding colour to your events by creating exciting plates of desserts.

What prompted ishascakesndesserts and for how long has it been in existence? 

Isha’s cakes n desserts started as a hobby, and gradually became a business.

How has the journey been from learning to been your own boss now?

It’s being an amazing journey of self discovery, working on structuring the business, creating a niche for myself and being intentional in all my actions.

Where is ishascakesndesserts located and how many students have you trained so far? 

We run an online store in Ilorin, Kwara state. Too numerous to count, I train young kids to help them  gain a measure of independence and also start the entrepreneurial journey early!

Do you have role model or mentor in this field? If yes, appreciate the person in a sentence.

Collaboration is the new competition, how well do you leverage on collaborations for the growth of your brand? 

I just have a sentence for this, team work always win.

If you are given the opportunity to meet a world class baker, who would that be and why? 

Laura Vitali, she’s amazing.

When you hear the word women supporting women what comes to your mind and how have you leveraged on this ?

Empowerment, I look for avenues and programmes that add to me and increase me in knowledge as well as give me the opportunity to network.

Your advice for other female entrepreneurs out there finding it difficult to break through?

Keep moving, believe in yourself, there is always light at the end of the tunnel

Have you ever failed before? what did you learn afterwards and do you think its a step to success as people say?

You shouldn’t let failure pull you down, see it as a sign that you are making efforts, and then work harder
