Oparanozie, Okobi upbeat Falcons will improve

Guingamp strikers, Desire Oparanozie and Ngozi Okobi, believes that the Super Falcons will learn valuable lessons from the 8-0 victory by France in an international friendly game played at the MMArena on Friday, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The encounter was the first grade A game for the Super Falcons since their 2016 African Women’s Cup of Nations final against Cameroon.

Oparanozie, who led the team’s attack in the shambolic display however said the team will remain focused despite the mauling. “You win some, you lose some. It’s all part of our game. The truth is you learn more from losing than you do from winning,” Oparanozie wrote on his Instagram page.

“We have learnt how to keep going. Together we stay positive and focus.” Oparanoize has scored seven goals in all competitions this season in the French Women’s league for Guingamp.

Okobi also admitted that the team never saw the defeat coming, but remained confident that the team will get better.

She wrote on her Twitter handle: “I still can’t stop believing in you all.

“Yes we never wished for that, but chin up ladies, there are better days ahead.
