Outburst on Senate President: Lai Mohammed not political asset in Kwara – Magaji Nda

Sustained outburst against the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki by some prominent members of the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) attracted the reaction of one of his kinsmen last night.
The Magaji Nda of Ilorin, Alhaji Soliu Woru Muhammed specially lashed out at the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Muhammed and the national chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for championing the call for the illegal impeachment of Saraki.
Muhammed and Oshiomhole at several fora have brazenly called on Saraki to step down or face impeachment by the party.
While describing the call as unfortunate and unlawful, Magaji Nda called on President Muhammadu Buhari to rein in his men over their parochial and unpatriotic stance over the matter.
He said instead of the new chairman to focus and concentrate his energy on resolving the party’s deep rooted crisis, he is unfortunately plugging the APC into deeper problems.
“Oshiomhole’s outburst on Saraki calling for his impeachment is most unfortunate to the people of Kwara State.
“Saraki has not committed any offence known to law over his action and he was not elected by the APC. They cannot impeach him, and trying to do that illegally will open the gate for more impeachments. The call is parochial and unpatriotic.
“He (Oshiomhole) came into the scene and is behaving as if he loves crises. We are fully behind the Senate President on this and ready to defend him to the last drop of our blood.
“For Lai Muhammed, he is not a political asset in Kwara State and even lost in his ward. Buhari meant well but the likes of him, the chairman and others in the party are misleading the President”, he added.
He however commended Buhari for the achievement so far and encourage him to do more in area of security, adding that there should be proper separation of powers.
