Ramadan: Good deeds, attract Allah’s blessings, says Olopoewa

In order to partake of the blessings inherent in the holy month of Ramanda, an Ilorin based Islamic cleric has charged Muslims to do what is right and just to mankind.
The Imam, Yusuf Olopoewa noted this last Friday during the Jumaat sermon at the Agaka Mosque, along Asa-Adam road in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital.
He added that only the Muslims who take advantage of the season will be able to enjoy it blessing stressing that Allah rewards His servants who dedicate his life, resources and attitude to serve not only him but his fellow brothers and sister in the society.
According to him, Muslims should dwell more on Sadaqat, praying in the middle of the night, reading Holy Qur’an as well as practicing the teachings of God
He also cautioned the believers against going places or doing things that are forbidden for a Muslim brethren adding that they should be careful of the antics of the devil that can make their fasting unacceptable before almighty God.
In order to fulfill prophet concerning fasting, Olopoewa urged that Muslims should endeavour to eat Sahuri and be prompt to break the fast when the sun set.
“Muslims should use the period of iftar to pray for their needs before breaking the fast and they should also break before going for Magrib Solat that is what prophet Muhammed commanded through what he exhibited for us all.
“When a Muslim eat Sahuri late, according to prophet Muhammed, it has special blessings,” Olopoewa stressed
