It was a joyous atmosphere on Sunday, as the Junior Choir of Methodist Church, Olorunsogo, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, celebrated its 20th anniversary.
The programme tagged ‘Good News’ kicked off 10am at the church premises with the Bishop of Kwara Diocese, Rt. Rev. Obafemi Adeleye and his Agodi, Ibadan, counterpart, Rt. Rev. A.O. Ajiboye in attendance.
When giving his charge to the choir and the Christian community, Rt. Rev. Obafemi Adeleye advised to always relate together in love and they should allow nothing to separate them.
Speaking with National Pilot, the coordinator of the choir, Prince Adegboyega Adekanmi, expressed gratitude to God for the journey so far and for the success of the anniversary despite the challenges.
In his advice to choir members and upcoming gospel artistes, Adekanmi said, “Always sing praises to God because praises lifts the heart of God.”
