Iwobi makes cameo appearance as Arsenal lifts Emirates Cup

Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi was a late substitute on Sunday as Arsenal lost 2-1 to Sevilla but still lifted the Emirates Cup courtesy of having scored more goals than the Spaniards in the pre-season competition.
Arsenal finished the competition they hosted with one win and one defeat, while Sevilla won their two games. But Emirates Cup rules mean an extra point is awarded for each goal a side scores and Arsenal scored six (they defeated Benfica 5-2 on Saturday) to Sevilla’s three (they beat RB Leipzig 1-0 on Saturday).
Arsenal and Sevilla therefore both finished on nine points and a plus two goals difference, with the hosts winning the competition because they scored more goals.
Joaquin Correa and Steven Nzonzi scored for Sevilla while Alexandre Lacazette for Arsenal on Sunday.
