Wema Bank customers bicker with staff over poor ATM service

Frustrated customers of Wema Bank located at Ibrahim Taiwo road, Ilorin, Kwara State on Tuesday almost beat up bank officials over the non-functioning of the Automated Teller Machine (ATM}

The customers in their numbers had queued and waited patiently for their turn to make transaction via the only functioning machine.

But to their consternation, the machine stopped functioning; this made them to start grumbling aloud, which attracted attention of the bank officials.

The angry customers yelled at them while they pleaded for patience, which fell on deaf ears.

A staffer of the bank later came out and started pleading with the customer that they are working on it. However, the customers angrily started trekking one by one to other banks along Taiwo road.

They stormed out of the bank premises with some threatening to close their account.

Meanwhile, Pilot Business sighted a newly constructed ATM machine at Automated Teller Machine (ATM) opposite First bank at Sawmill area of Ilorin. It is however yet to commence operations at the time of filing this report.
