Ecobank notifies customers of poor service

 

The management of Ecobank PLC on Tuesday sent messages to customers of poor service. The bank stated that “Due to system maintenance you will be unable to use our transfer services to send out or receive funds on Tuesday between 8pm to 5am on Wednesday.

“While our transfer services remain unavailable during this period, we encourage you to use our cards to pay via POS or withdraw cash from Automated Teller Machine.

The bank added that services like transfer via internet banking, transfer via Ecobank mobile App, and transfer via ATM would be available.

The bank apologised to customers for inconveniences the disruption in service may cause them.

Meanwhile, Pilot Business on Tuesday observed that about four banks – Sterling, Eco, Unity and UBA ATMs failed to dispense cash due to bad network. Stranded customers were seen waiting endlessly for the machines to function.
