Eguavoen happy Mikel, Ighalo, Moses returns

Former Super Eagles coach Austin Eguavoen is impressed with the quality of players Gernot Rohr has invited for the 2018 FIFA World Cup double header against Cameroon, and believes the team is good enough to beat the African champions in Uyo on September 1, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

Rohr on Tuesday officially released a list of players that will prosecute the two matches in Uyo on September 1 and Yaoundรฉ on September 4 respectively.

โ€œI am impressed with the list and I think this should be about the best we can proud of now,โ€ Eguavoen, who was in the Super Eagles technical crew when Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2006 World Cup, told Completesportsnigeria.com.

โ€œI am also glad that the likes of Mikel, Ighalo, Moses and others are back because many believed that it was because they were not in Uyo that was why South Africa beat Nigeria. But now they are back and we expect nothing short of victory.

โ€œRohr is on the right track and we just have to support him because I will be glad like other Nigerians to see our Super Eagles at the World Cup.โ€

The Super Eagles top their group with six points while the Camerounians are second in the table with two points after two games each from the qualifiers.
