The Ilorin branch of Offa Descendants Union (ODU) goes to the polls next Thursday to elect new officers to pilot its affairs for the next four years.
Billed for the Secretariat at Alhaji Hussein Adeniyi House, Unity road, Ilorin, all 11 positions will be contested.
Already, a five-man electoral body to midwife the election has been constitutedย ย ย headed by Alhaji Lasifi Salihu while Kamaldeen Kolawole will serve as Secretary.
While inaugurating the electoral committee, the chairman of the union, Prof. Olusola Solomon Adegboye implored the committee to conduct a credible election that will be acceptable by all. He also urged the committee to allow all sons of Offa residents in Ilorin to participate in the election.The tenure of the present executives will terminate on October 30.
