Saraki’s Constituency office distributes instructional materials to Kwara students

 

The Constituency office of the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Tuesday flagged off the distribution of instructional materials to pupils within Kwara Central Senatorial District.

The maiden edition of the distribution exercise, which was declared open by the Director General of the constituency office, Hon. Abdulwahab Issa, alongside other members of staff of the constituency office and associates of Saraki, at Oke-Adini LGEA school in Ilorin South Local Government, was a part of the Capacity Building Programme of the Senate President for his constituents.

Recall that in the last six months, more than 70 blocks of classrooms have been built across the four local governments; Asa, Ilorin East, Ilorin South and Ilorin West that make up Kwara Central Senatorial District represented by Saraki at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.

Saraki as part of his School Infrastructure Development Programme, in which 47 of the classrooms have been completed and ready for academic benefit of the pupils also constructed and equipped 10 Information and Communications Technology (ICT) centres commissioned by him at the early stage of this year.

According to the Director General, the scheme includes text books on basic subjects including English, Mathematics, Basic Science and Technology, Religious Studies and other instructional materials to help widen the horizons of the pupils.

After the distribution of the materials to various arms of the school, the distribution train proceeded to Junior Secondary School Iponrin in Ilorin East Local Government of the constituency.
