Independence: Pray for Nigeria, Christians charged
Nigerians have again been charged to have strong belief in the Nigeria Project to ensure a strong, united and virile nation.
A Cleric, Reverend Idowu Ibitoye gave the charge today in his sermon at the seventh combined songs anniversary of the Choir of Unity Baptist Church, Fas Close, Ilorin, Kwara State.
Speaking on the theme “Overcoming challenges of life through Jesus Christ”, Reverend Ibitoye, who is the Secretary of the state Christian Association of Nigeria called on Nigerians to move closer to God and pray for the unity and development of the Country.
The cleric, who urged the people to love their neighbours and the nation, expressed the belief that the country would be great despite the recent challenges as it celebrates the fifty-seventh independence.
He called on Christians to desist from sin and allow Jesus Christ to reign supreme in their life.
Also in his sermon titled “age is not a factor” delivered at the thirty-fifth enrolment service of the Boys Brigade, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church, Ilorin District Headquarters, Pastor Olaolu Adeyemo implored Christians to live decent and exemplary life worthy of emulation.
Pastor Adeyemo charged them to worship God wholeheartedly.
Olobatoke appealed to Nigerians to tolerate one another’s differences to enable peace to continue to reign and have the love of the nation at heart.
Speaking at this year’s women anniversary of the New Life Holy Trinity chapel, Gaa-Akanbi, Ilorin, Pastor ldowu Constain called on women to be shining example worthy of emulation to sustain a happy home.
Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amayo appealed to Christians to be Christ like at all times for the will of God to come to pass in their lives.
