Nigerians charged to promote socio-economic activities

As Nigeria celebrated her 57th independence anniversary, Nigerians have again been charged to develop the ability that would promote the Nation’s socio-economic activities.
A cross-section of traditional rulers in Kwara State gave the charge in their independence messages to the people of the country.
According to the Vice Chairman of the state Traditional Council, Alhaji lbrahim Chatta Umar this became necessary to serve as measure to cushion the current economic meltdown and turning round the fortune of the masses.
Alhaji Chatta Umar who is the Estu Patigi also cautioned the people regardless of their political differences and religion background to bury their differences to sustain harmonious relationship that would ensure even development of the state and nation in general.
Also, the Chairman of Ekiti Traditional Council and the Olosi of Osi, Oba Saliu Abdulkarim Adasofegbe called for attitudinal change from Nigerians. He advised the people to remain calm and support government’s policy and programme aimed at improving their well being.
ln his message, the Emir of Okuta, Baruten Local Government Area, Alhaji Abubakar Sero ldris appealed to the people to eschew act that could cause disunity noting that no meaningful achievements could be made where there is no peace.
The Oloyipo of Eggi Oyo-Ipo in Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, Oba Abdulwahab Adeoye Jinad implored the people to imbibe high sense of patriotism and respect constituted authority.
ln his view, the Olowu of Owu Obaloyan in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Oba Kamorudeen Ajiboye Sanni Agunleyinju the second urged Nigerians to look inward on how best they could contribute their quota to complement government effort at improving the lots of the down trodden.
