NFF House project begins in Ilorin, today
Construction work on one of the Nigeria Football Federation NFF Football House sited in Ilorin will start today, Monday at the Kwara State Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
The contractor handling the project in three of the benefiting six states, Engineer Olumide Adeleke disclosed this in a chat with Sportswriters in Ilorin at the weekend.
Engineer Adeleke, who had visited the site, said the project would be completed on or before the second week of January next year.
The site engineer stated that the project, which would be fully equipped and furnished would comprise offices for the state FA Chairman, Head of Coaching, Conference Hall, Football Viewing centre among others.
He commended the state government for sitting the football house inside the stadium complex, describing it as a good development.
Engineer Adeleke who is also handling that of Jigawa and Borno States promised that the project would start the test of time as quality materials would be used.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the State Football Association, Mallam Busari Ishola described the commencement of the project as a welcome development and a dream come true.
Mallam Busari Ishola noted that the association would ensure strict monitoring to enable the contractor complete the project within the stipulated time.
The chairman explained that similarly project would be constructed in Osun, Bayelsa, Abia, Jigawa, Borno.
He thanked the state government for its support, pledging that the construction of the project would ensure the development and prospect of football in the State.
