It was a mix of royalty and nobility of the country at the exquisite society wedding ceremony of Tosin, first daughter of Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his wife, Barrister Toyin, held in Lagos at the weekend.
Tosin on Saturday was officially engaged to her heartrob, Adeniyi Olatunde Olukoya in a colourful ceremony, with all the trappings of pomp and pageantry and a spectacular show of glamour and opulence.
Olatunde is the son of an Ogun State Prince, Adebola Olukoya, and his wife. Olatokunbo.
In attendance at the high octane ceremony held at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos were the creme de la creme of the society. The venue of the event is particularly significant to the senate president and his wife because it was where their wedding reception was held in December, 1992.
The venue almost burst at its seams with the array of eminent personalities who graced the occasion
There was a roll call of the who’s who in the country such as frontline royal fathers, captains of industries, foremost politicians, socialites and A-list celebrities, who were decked in glamourous outfits.
The royal fathers including His Imperial majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi the Ojajs I, stepped out in splendour in a display of imposing grandeur, which lit up the atmosphere and the well decorated and ornamented hall
The couple were not left out as they appear resplendent in their beautiful traditional attire and accessories.
However, those in attendance, include Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo; state governors, including Governor Abdulfattah Ahmed of Kwara, members of the National Assembly, the Minister for Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo, former Commonwealth Sec. Gen, Emeka Anyaoku, All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, John Oyegun, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Minister of National Planning, Udo Udoma, Chairman Dangote Groups, Aliko Dangote, Chief of Staff to the President, Alh. Abba Kyari, Chief Bisi Akande, Otunba Gbenga Daniel and Ali Modu Sheriff.
Others are the Esama of Benin Kingdom, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, grandparents of the bride Olori Ojuolape Ojora and Otunba Adekunle Ojora and Oba Folagbade Olateru Olagbegi III, Olowo of Owo and Aremo Olusegun Osoba, among other dignitaries.
Speakers upon speakers at the occasion prayed for harmony and blessings of God upon the couple, just as they gave them recipe on how to live happily with each other.
However, the grand wedding reception for the couple will hold December 7th 2017 at Royal Hall, Dunes Centre Abuja.
