LGs urged to cater for less privileged, widows

The three tiers of government in the country have been charged to pay special interest to the welfare of the less privileged to give them sense of belonging.
A Cleric, Special Apostle Prophet Jacob Oje gave the charge in his sermon at the 15th anniversary and thanksgiving of Egbe Ori Oke Ayomide Onimajemu held.at Mount Sinai Basin, Ilorin, Kwara State.
Prophet Oje who spoke on the Theme “Praise the Lord o my soul” said the less privileged in the society have been neglected and have been subjected to various types of abuse.
The Cleric who is the leader of number eighteen of the C & S Movement Church, Ilorin called on wealthy Nigerians to assist the less privileged to live a purposeful life.
He commended the organisers of the programme for their support to the less privileged particularly the widows, calling on the people to emulate the gesture.
Prophet Oje used the occasion to advise the people to always praise and thank God in all circumstances.
Earlier, the host, Most Senior Mother in Israel Prophetess Iyabo Ayodele said the programme was initiated specifically to assist the widows in the society.
Prophetess Ayodele called for support from individuals and corporate bodies to make life easier for the widows.
She later led the Congregation in offering special prayer for the widows, the State and the nation in general.
Food items and various gifts were distributed to over 100 widows that attended the yearly programme.
Meanwhile, Pastor Taiye Aransiola of the United Evangelical Miracle Church Off Yidi Road Ilorin has charged Christians to put their trust in God and fear Him, believe His word wholeheartedly and act upon it. He gave the charge in his sermon on Sunday.
Also, Prophet Peter Oladipo of the C & S Movement Church, Ipetu-lgbomina admonished Nigerians to shun evil and adhere strictly to the word of God.
Prophet Oladipo who made this known while preparing for the annual revival program of the Church with the theme “strive to enter in the straight gate” appealed to Christ to remain holy to enable them make heaven.
On his part, Pastor Kayode Omotosho of the C A C Anusogo lorimi kilanko village, Ilorin whose message centred on “Dont Put year trust in man” enjoined Nigerians regardless of their religion background to trust in God as the only one who can never fail, adding that those who depend on the Lord are like mountain which can never be moved.
Pastor Aremu Abioye of the Ark of God Covenant Faith Bible Ministry, Amayo, emphasised the need for Christian to turn a new leaf as the second coming of Christ is at hand.
