Kwara Utd signs MoU with Rotamedics Pharmacy

 

Kwara United football Club has signed a MoU with Rotamedics Pharmacy to boost the activities of the Club as they prepare for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) new season.
Speaking during the presentation of Cheque by the Pharmacy, the President of the Club, Sir Prince Oladimeji Thompson who was represented by the Secretary of the Club Mallam Bako Ibrahim, stated that the deal is part of the sponsorship drive of the Club to ensure efficiency.
While reiterating commitment to ensure the smooth running of the deal, Thompson however called on other establishments in the state to join in supporting the club through sponsorship.
This he said will go a long way in assisting the club to achieving its needed facilities for best results during the next season.
“It is imperative for others to join up in supporting the effort of the government because they cannot do it alone. With establishment, companies coming up to sponsor clubs, I assure you of great deal with sporting activities.”
Speaking earlier, the Club’s head of Marketing Department, Ganiyu Balogun disclosed that the partnership involved the production of two sets of training Jersey worth 200,000 for the club.
“With this deal, Rotamedics Pharmacy as a Co-Sponsor will provide Kwara United two Sets of training jersey and at the convenience of the pharmacy, the company will provide and support.”
Meanwhile, the Director of Rotamedics Pharmacy, Pharm. (Dr.) Abdulraheem Malik maintained that the MoU is a way of fulfilling the Social responsibility.
Abdulraheem, who is a US based pharmacist, stated that Sport activities need more support from individuals and corporate bodies to be able to produce the best athletes.
Represented by the General Manager of the Pharmacy Kate Ajide, the Director expressed optimism that the deal will also promote sporting activities in the Country.
“This MOU is rotamedics pharmacy fulfilling its social responsibility by co-sponsoring and providing drugs and other medical supplies to Kwara United Football club.
It’s our way of giving back to the people of Kwara in appreciation for their patronage of rotamedics”
The contract, which was signed in Ilorin yesterday at the Surulere branch of the Pharmacy featured the presentation of a Cheque of 200,000.00 to the Secretary of the Club by Rotamedics Pharmacy.

The popular Fuji musician, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, also known as Kwam 1, has lost one of his daughters, Wasilat.
Wasilat Anifowose died in Canada after a brief illness.
The deceased, said to be 34 years old, reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday from complications arising from diabetes.
Many of her old secondary school friends and mates have taken to the social media to express their condolences.
Wasilat was described as a gentle and peace loving person.
Kwam 1’s manager, Esther, confirmed the death to PREMIUM TIMES but declined further comments.
Wasilat, who relocated to Canada almost 10 years ago, was well known to be one of the favourite of the Fuji Czar.
Among many other reasons, K1 was particularly fond of Wasilat because she was the only child of her mother, who died many years ago.
Those who knew Wasilat would attest to the fact that she was a lady of impeccable character and she was loved by everyone who knew her.
K1’s former manager, Percy Ademokun, confirmed the death in a message on Facebook on Tuesday.
โ€œMay the soul of Wasilat Marshal rest well and God be with K1 as he bear the loss,โ€ Ademokun, who is now based in Chicago, the United States wrote.
Predictably, the Fuji Czar has remained inconsolable since he received the tragic news. Also, prominent Nigerians and his fans around the world have been sending condolences messages to him since the news broke out.
Meanwhile, his friends and family members are putting heads together to arrange a befitting burial for the departed.

… as father pens emotional tribute
Fuji music maestro, Ayinde Wasiu popularly known as KWAM 1 who lost one of his daughters, Wasilat Anifowose has penned an emotional tribute to her.
The bereaved father took to his Instagram page to share a Wolimat video of his late daughter and wrote, โ€œLaronke Ashabi mii. 17th July 1983 -12th December 2017, the two dates in history and shall never be forgotten ever in my life.The first, a date you came to this world and the later the day you departed. I give gloryย  and thanks to God Almighty who gave you to me as a gift by you coming to this world for a purpose and through me, I have seen that severally while you were growing that I am privileged to be your father and also to the kind of a child that also double as my friend.
โ€œAbout your sickness and all our efforts through medical means that was available to us to make you better failed us, neither did your prayer and that of mine and everybody that loves you never heeded by God, rather it is a direct word from God Almighty that Allah
