DOS praises Atomike Squash Championship

 

Coach Tunde Kazeem, the Director of Sports, Kwara State Sports Council has praised the sponsor of Atomike Squash Championship tourney, Deacon Mike Atoyebi for sponsoring the tournament for the fourth consecutive time.
Speaking at the Final of the tourney, Coach Tunde Kazeem commended the organisers and sponsor of the championship for investing in the game of squash, noting that the sporting event has impacted positively on the life of the youth particularly the participants.
Coach Kazeem applauded the state government for providing an enabling environment for sports development as he charged corporate organisations and individuals to emulate Atomike Consultants in sponsoring one tournament or the other to further de-emphasize youth restiveness and other social ills in the society.
In his message, the sponsor of the squash tourney, Deacon Mike Atoyebi urged youth to develop Passion and Love for the game of squash to Further improve healthy living, stressing that the game of squash is an international sporting event which is being played by notable men and women in the country. He however, called for total support from the State Government in terms of upgrading and renovating of its court to meet international standard.
He particularly praised one of the seeded squash player in the country Rofia Azeez who is a product of the Kwara Squash team for laurels for the State in the Outgoing year, adding that More support is needed to be provided for the players in coming years.
Also speaking Senator Bisi Oyewo who was the Special Guest at the closing ceremony, commended Atomike Consultants Ltd for supporting and sponsoring the game of squash up till the 4th edition and implored him to sustain the tempo in the years to come.
He congratulated the players and officials of the squash team for their achievements in the year under review, noting that more still needed to be done.
