Buhari’s son in ghastly power bike accident

The only son of President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf, was Tuesday night involved in an accident.
He was riding his power bike when the crash occurred.
It was gathered yesterday that Yusuf is currently at an emergency ward at Cedacrest Hospital, Abuja.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, said Yusuf underwent a surgery.
The presidential spokesman also disclosed that Buhari’s only son broke a limb and sustained a head injury in the accident.
When online medium, TheCable visited the hospital, yesterday, mobile policemen were seen observing movements of visitors.
A sports utility vehicle (SUV) that had a signal jamming device was seen leaving the hospital around 4:58pm.
The hospital lobby was filled with different people who engaged in conversations.
It was not clear if members of the first family were at the hospital at the time of the visit.
Yusuf bagged his Master’s Degree in the United Kingdom in July 2016. He graduated alongside Zahra from the University of Surrey, Guildford.
Meanwhile, reports emerged last night that the family of President Buhari is seriously considering flying Yusuf abroad for advanced medical treatment.
In a statement, yesterday, the president’s spokesman, Garba Shehu, said the victim is in a stable condition.
However a source described Shehu’s statement as inaccurate.
โ€œThe statement did not reflect the true situation of things. The boy is in a critical condition. He has been in the intensive care unit,โ€ the source said.
โ€œSome doctors in the hospital were even scared to attend to him just in case anything went wrong. Imagine doctors being scared to perform their duty. He is the only son of the president.โ€
The source added that the president’s family were making plans to get an air ambulance that would convey Yusuf to a German hospital which Cedacrest has an affiliation with.
Cedacrest is said to be the only orthopaedic specialist hospital in Abuja.
The doctors have reportedly advised them not to fly Yusuf out at the moment, explaining that it is dangerous to move him out in his current state.
โ€œThe last time they mentioned flying him abroad for better treatment, the medical team advised them against it because the boy needs to be in a good condition before he leaves,โ€ the source added.
โ€œBut they do not seem to be satisfied with the advice and they are seriously considering flying him out.โ€
