By Mumini AbdulKareem

Ahead the 2019 general elections, posters of President Muhammadu Buhari has surfaced in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The colourful posters, our reporters observed last night, were pasted on public structures at Taiwo area, Unity round about, part of Sango and the popular post office fly over, Murtala Mohammed way.

The development was courtesy the Kwara State chapter of the Buhari Campaign Organisation (BCO).

The poster which has one of the famous quote of the president, โ€œI came into this world with nothing and I will leave with nothing, why should I stealโ€ had a bespectacled president decked in a white Agbada and multi cultured cap.

There was no indication of the party the president would run on and has the hash tag #We Support Buhari for 2019#.

It was not clear however if those behind the posters had the permission of Mr President.

The issue of Buhari running for re-election has hitherto been a subject of discussion among supporters and opponents alike with some pointing to his health challenges then.

But the candidature has gained ground among the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) since he first hinted that he will run for 2019.

The issue has also divided his party and it is widely believed that former vice president, Atiku Abubakar left the party because of Buhariโ€™s alleged endorsement.

Although the APC has not taking official position on the matter, many leaders in the party like Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo and his Kaduna state counterpart, Nasir el-Rufai have openly endorsed the president for the 2019.

Senate President and leader of the party in the state, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki has saidย ย he would make his plans for 2019 known February next year.

Meanwhile a groupย of youths and women reportedly stormed the premises of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Ilorin, yesterday, urging President Muhammadu Buhari to seek re- election in 2019.

The youths and women who brandished posters of Buhari for 2019 forced their way into the arena, shouting “Sai Buhari, Sai Lai during the commissioning of the stationโ€™s digital switchover, witnessed by the Director-General of NBC, Isiaq Modibo Kawu.
