By Ahmed Suleiman

A group, Kwara Youth Unity Forum has described the recall process of Senator Rafiu Ibrahim as a ‘fruitless mission.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Coordinator, Comrade Ismail Shafi Alada.

The group said that the entire youths in Kwara South senatorial district condemned the process in its totality, adding that it is targeted at setting the area back in terms of infrastructural development.

While describing the lawmaker as one of the best politicians from Kwara South, the group alleged that the orchestrators of the recall were only on a mission to discredit the good work of the senator.

“It has been brought to the notice of Kwara Youth Unity Forum that some scrupulous elements have embarked on fruitless mission to discredit Kwara South Senator, Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim.

“The Senator, a product of the Saraki dynasty, who endears himself with his people and community development oriented projects, remains one of the best politicians from Kwara South,” the statement added.

It warned those behind the recall process against causing tension within the polity, urging them to join hands with those who have the development of the senatorial district at heart in moving the area to higher pedestal.

“The people of Kwara South are peace loving and any attempt to disrupt the existing peace in the district would be resisted. We acknowledge the leadership prowess of the Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and his managerial skills in holding the party together for the development of the people and the state at large.

“We, in Kwara South, know our sons and daughters, who have the people at heart and have contributed to the yearning and development of our Senatorial District”.

“We are proud of the outstanding performance of Sen. Dr Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim, in his legislative business at the National Assembly and with his constituency projects and other developmental projects

“Through his RIB Foundation in rural road network, rural electrification, provision of potable water, renovation of library, provision of public toilets in prime markets, training, scholarship and educational support and many more”.
