First, Union banks record low customers

The resumption of transaction activities at both first bank and Union bank Saw Mill areas of Ilorin was an eyesore as only few customers were seen inside the banks when Pilot Business visited on Tuesday around 11am.
Specifically, about 12 customers were seen in first bank being attended to by the cashiers and the customers care unit. Also nine customers, were recorded at the Union branch.
Speaking during a chat with some customers they attributed the emptiness of the banks to the economic recession in the country. A staffer of the bank also maintained that banking activities is just resuming, therefore the emptiness is expected. Meanwhile, few customers were also sighted at the Automated Teller Machines of the banks.
