Hollywood’s oldest working actress, Connie Sawyer dies at 105

 

Hollywood’s oldest working actress, Connie Sawyer has died in her home in Woodland Hills, CA. after an incredibly long and prolific career that spanned six decades. During her lifetime, she had more than 140 TV and film credits to her name and although she was already 105, she worked through late 2017.
She first got involved in entertainment at 8-years-old when she first won a talent contest in Oakland. Then at 18 years old, she got her first Vaudeville show – Tinseltown in Santa Cruz.
She played the role of Miss Wexler in ‘A Hole in the Head’ on Broadway before later playing the same role in the film adaptation starring Frank Sinatra.
Sawyer was born on November 27, 1912, in Pueblo, Colorado. She is survived by her two daughters Lisa Dudley and Julie Watkins; four grandchildren Hannah Stubblefield, Sam Dudley, Emily and Carrie Watkins; and three great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Adam, and Maya.
