Building modern Oro Ago palace my priority – New ODU President

The newly elected National President of Oro Ago Development Union, Engr Olatunji Kadri has said the priority of his administration is to construct a befitting palace for the monarch of the community.
Speaking on Saturday with our reporter shortly after the inauguration of the new executives at Abila Guest House, Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, Kadri said his team will also work towards revamping the lost glory of the community.
“Each time I noted that our monarch is yet to have a befitting palace, my heart bleeds. I am not happy about it but a new dawn has come. Part of what we will focus on before our tenure lapse is the issue of a modern palace for our monarch.
“It is saddening that Oro Ago was at the front burner in terms of development in Kwara State before, but lingering rancour has affected the community.”
According to him, the new executive shall strive hard to bring developmental projects and programmes to the entire community.  Our core mandate now is to unite all and sundry.
“Our cultural heritage would be revamped and well package to meet international standards thus making it a source of tourism to the whole world.
