Milo Sec  Sch  Basketball: Unilorin, Adesoye in winning start

 

Actions resumed at this year’s edition of the Milo Secondary Schools Basketball Championship at the playing courts of the Kwara Stadium Complex, Ilorin.
In the first match, University of Ilorin Secondary School (Boys) defeated Okelele Secondary School (Boys), 24 points to five.
Also in the Boys category, St. Charles College defeated St. Anthony Secondary School 25-5.
Government Secondary School, Ilorin lost 0-13 to Adesoye College, Offa to end the morning session.
In the girls category, St. Charles College battered University of Ilorin girls 30-0 while Okelele Secondary School defeated United Girls Secondary School 4-0.
Pilot Sports can report that action will continue on Thursday as 13 schools justle for honours.
However, the state Coordinator of Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF), Bakare Salman, said Game Masters and Mistresses of participating schools had undergone coaching and officiating clinic in both theory and practical.
He said with what he saw on the day 1 of the competition, a lot of kids will be discovered for the future of the game.
