A 42-year-old Ago Paanu Community Local Govt Education Authority (L.G.E.A) Primary School will hold its maiden inter-house sports on Tuesday, March 20.
The school is near a popular village, Agbamu, in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The school support officer, Mrs Kemi Osasona, told journalists in Ilorin on Sunday that the primary school was established on Sept. 3, 1976.
She informed that there is only kindergarten and primary one pupils in the school because of lack of teachers and the inter-house sports is basically for the pupils.
Osasona said the pupils will compete in different events mainly in the track and field.
The school’s support officer explained that a staff of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development and one time General Manager of Kwara United FC of Ilorin, Alhaji Haruna Maigidansanma will be the guest speaker of the day.
She further revealed that a former Special Adviser to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara, Comrade Bisi Fakayode, will be the chairman of the occasion.
