Former Kwara Head of Service, Modupe Oluwole, Laid to Rest

The late former Kwara State Head of Service, Mrs. Susan Modupe Oluwole, has been laid to rest following a solemn service of songs held on Thursday at the Banquet Hall, GRA, Ilorin. Mrs. Oluwole passed away on March 5, 2025, at the age of 59.

A church service was held in her honour on Friday at Rhema Chapel International Headquarters, Tanke, Ilorin. The service, which commenced at 11:00 am, drew a large crowd of family members, friends, and sympathisers who gathered to pay their last respects.

 

 

Among the dignitaries present were the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, Mr. Kayode Alabi, and former Kwara State Head of Service, Hajia Zarah Omar, along with other distinguished personalities.

The service reached a deeply emotional moment during the tribute session, as family, friends, and colleagues reflected on the remarkable life and selfless service of the late Modupe Oluwole. Many described her as a dedicated public servant who made significant contributions to the state.

Delivering the sermon, Pastor Benjamin Bolaji urged attendees to live a life of purpose, emphasizing that people will ultimately be remembered for the legacy they leave behind.

Following the church service, the body of the deceased was taken to Oke-Ose Public Cemetery, where she was laid to rest in the presence of grieving loved ones.
