Robbery Attack: Olofa reinstates commitment to move community forward

T he Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II has reiterated his commitment to move the community forward despite the April 5, bloodletting armed robbery attack.
The monarch stated this at his palace in Offa during the condolence visit of the Association of Retired Permanent Secretaries in Kwara State at the weekend.
Olofa noted that members of the community have been holding meetings towards fortifying the security climate of the town that will eventually avert recurrence of such robbery attack.
He further likened those who carried out the attack on police officers and the financial institutions in Offa as devils even as he maintained that residents of the community had put the tragic incident behind them.
He informed the visitors that calm and normalcy have returned as people are now going about their business activities without any fear.
Olofa appreciated both the federal and state governments for fulfilling their promises of beefing up security in the town and its environs after the attack.
He said the community would support security agencies in ensuring safety and protection of lives and property.
The Coordinator of the Retired Permanent Secretaries, Mrs Ikeoluwa Orunmuyi, condemned the robbery attack and described it as unfortunate.
On the entourage were former head of service, Alhaji Dabarako Mohammed; retired permanent sectaries, Dr Zubair Erubu, Alhaji Koro Mohammed, Mrs Bose Olorunmaiye, Alhaji Abdulfatah Adebiyi, Alhaji Abdullahi Mustapha, Mr Olushola Adebiyi, Alhaji Abdulrahman Yanda and Hajia Biliqis Jumoke Sanni.
