Nigeria vs Seychelles: Full house at Eagles’ Victoria camp

Super Eagles goalkeepers, IkechukwuEzenwa and Daniel Akpeyi have joined their teammates at the Savoy Hotel Resort in Victoria Island on Wednesday ahead of Saturday’s 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles.

Ezenwa and Akpeyi’s presence now completes the number of players in camp to 20, and Gernot Rohr and his technical staff are set to start full training sessions.

According to a Tweet on the official handle of the Super Eagles, the team had a pleasant recovery walk around the beach in front of their hotel on Tuesday.

Gernot Rohr’s men will also hold their first training sessions ahead the game today (Wednesday).

โ€œWe had a good recovery walk around the beach in front of our Savoy Hotel camp, Victoria island yesterday,โ€ the tweet reads.

โ€œOur first training session holds this morning. Goalkeepers, Ezenwa, Akpeyi are latest arrivals.

Nigeria will face Seychelles on Saturday at the Linite stadium with both teams seeking their first win in group E after losing on match day 1.

Meanwhile, Chuka Iwobi, the father of Arsenal and Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi, has revealed how disappointed his son is for not being fit forย ย Saturday’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles due to illness.

Speaking exclusively toย allnigeriasoccer.com, Iwobi senior however gave fans of both teams some cheering news after revealing Iwobi’s expected recovery date.

“Thanks for the concern. Indeed it was sad for Alex that he wasn’t in the squad for the Arsenal match versus Cardiff and had to withdraw from National Team for the match versus Seychelles,” Onitsha-born Iwobi, who once played for Vasco Da Gama of Enugu toldย allnigeriasoccer.comย from his base in London on Wednesday.
