Be ambassador of God, cleric charged

A popular cleric in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, Barr. Abdur-Rasheed Ahmed has charged Muslim faithful to be Allah’s representatives in whatever they do.
The cleric made the admonition last Friday at Sultanat mosque in Adewole area of Ilorin.
He added that in any chosen profession, Muslim should endeavour to represent Allah adding such gesture is rewarding.
According to him, Muslim faithful should fear Allah while discharging their duties in their chosen profession saying such act attract God’s blessings.
He further noted that Muslims should continue demonstrating the character of Allah by helping the needy stressing that arms giving should not be limited to only Ramadan.
According to him, persistent recitation of Holly Quran and observance of five daily prayers attract Allah favour.
“Ramadan has ended but good deeds hasn’t, whoever failed to do so has failed in his responsible as human being. Our member in Islam should not go back to bad deeds. Allah want His servants to give to the needy from genuine mind. Making use of part of our body for the five daily prayers is also rewarding,” the cleric stated.
Ahmed further tasked Muslims to use the wisdom and knowledge of Allah to protect Islamic religion.
He said, “Prophet fought for Islamic religion with all his knowledge and wisdom, our generation should learn from this and equally emulate same.”
