A former group operation manager, Manufacturing Division Services (MDS) a division of UAC, Alhaji Issa Olanreawaju Kolapo Abimbola of Ile Eshipo, Idofian, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State is dead.
A statement signed by Bolaji Abimbola on behalf of the family said the deceasedย died on Saturday aged 96 after a brief illness and have been buried in his hometown according to Islamic rites.
Abimbola was also the pioneer national secretary general of Idofian Development Association.
Abimbola’s dedication to duty took him to various states across the country as the Group Operation Manager including Lagos, Ibadan, Kano, Gombe, Jos and Maiduguri a position he held until he retired in 1997.
He is survived by wives, children, grand and great grand children, including Bolaji Abimbola and Fawziat Adebimpe wife of former chief press secretary to Kwara State Governor, Alh Mas’ud Adebimpe.
The eight day fidau will hold 10.00 am on Saturday July 21, 2018 at Abimbola residence opposite old Shao Garage, Sobi road, Ilorin.
