Taiwo Awoniyi has inked a new five-year contract with Liverpool as he set sights on breaking into Jurgen Klopp’s team.
The Nigeria youth international has spent last season on loan at Royal Excel Mouscron – where he scored 10 goals and provided four assists in the Belgian top-flight.
The 20-year-old is yet to make an appearance for the Reds due to work issues that will see him go out on loan again this campaign.

The reports claims Liverpool have agreed a fee of about ยฃ66.8m for Roma goalkeeper Alisson.
The English side made an offer yesterday of โฌ60m plus โฌ10m in bonuses, which was very close to the Giallorossi’s asking price.
Now La Stampa and Sky Italia are both reporting that a new bid has been made which is acceptable to the Lupi.
The total bid is โฌ75m, with La Stampa’s Matteo De Santis reporting that will be made up of โฌ60m plus another โฌ15m in bonuses.
