With the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifier against Seychelles three weeks away, Coach Gernot Rohr must start considering improving the Super Eagles squad. For Nigeria to qualify and even impressed at the tournament, the gaffer need to extend invitation to younger and consistent players in place of some ‘tired legs’.
Whether fit or not, players like John Obi Mikel, Elderson Echiejile, Odion Ighalo and Ogenyi Onazi should be excused from the team and the likes of Kelechi Nwankali, Henry Onyekuru and Stephen Eze should be invited instead.
Aside the aforesaid names, other players who excelled during the Super Eagles international friendly against Atletico Madrid deserve to get more playing time in the team.
