Chairman of Independent National and Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, is currently in a meeting with the House Committee on Electoral and Political Parties Matters.
The Commission Chairman is expected to present the budget for the 2019 elections before the House Committee.
This was revealed in a tweet via the Commission’s official handle, @inecnigeria, which read: “INEC 2019 General Elections Budget Presentation by Chairman INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu and members of the Commission before the House Committee on Electoral and Political Parties Matters.โ
This meeting is coming a day after the National Assembly postponed its reconvening earlier scheduled for Tuesday, August 14, 2018, following a statement that the meeting between INEC and the House Committee had not held as of yesterday.
