The leaders and members of Kwara State chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has pledged their unalloyed support and loyalty to the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, ahead of the 2019 general elections.

Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, yesterday, the group condemned the statement credited to the National Coordinator of MACBAN, Garus Gololo that Saraki should either resign or be forced out of office.

The Kwara State Secretary of MACBAN and Special Assistant to Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed on Fulani Affairs, Alhaji AbdulAzeez Mohammed described Gololo’s statement as shocking, baseless and egocentric.

He said, “the state chapter of the association is solidly behind the Senate President, particularly now that the state has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).”

Mohammed stated that MACBAN in Kwara State only recognise Saraki who has been assisting them all year round, adding that, “We cannot be party to injustice, victimisation by the ruling All Progressives Congress which has not only draw us backward but equally divided the nation beyond imagination.

“Saraki remains our source of inspiration and hope as he never abandoned us in all his programmes and empowerment. Our support for him come 2019 is total and uncontroversial.”

He however appreciated members of the group for taking time out of their busy schedule to register for the Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) which serves as veritable tool to vote for candidates of their choices.

Meanwhile, the MACBAN Secretary applauded the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed for impacting positively on the Fulanis in the state.
