7th Kwafest: LGA flags hoisted as participants charged to showcase talents genuinely

Participants at the 7th Kwara State Sports Festival have been told to passionately showcase their talents genuinely in order to Provide Platform to represent the State in the National and International future Championship.
The Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development Mrs Joana Inazua Kolo Stated this on Sunday in Ilorin at the Kwara State Stadium Complex during the Hoisting of Flags of the all 16 Local Government areas participating at the festival.
Kolo who reiterated the determination of the Present adminstration to Sport development, stressing that Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq will improve on the existing enabling environment created towards the growth of Sporting activities.
The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon. Engr. Danladi represented by the Chairman House Committee on Sports, Honourable Awolola Oyekunle expressed the readiness of the House in ensuring  that the proposed projects in sports are properly monitored and executed as captured by the Budget recently presented to the house accordingly .
He Implored athletes to be good ambassadors of their local Governments by Strictly adhere to the  rules of the games to guarantee fairness and Spirit of Sportsmanship, noting the festival also serves as a template to prepare for the national Sports Festival in Edo State.
Earlier, the Special adviser on Sports, Mallam Attahiru Ibrahim Commended the MOC for their efforts towards staging a befitting festival, adding the present administration will engage youth positively through various Sporting activities.
The Chairman of the MOC, Alhaji Hameed Adio appreciated the Local Government areas for their warm reception during the tour of the torch of Unity to the Council, explaining that the reception has demonstrated the love, Passion and Unity of purpose they have for the present administration.
He Maintained that the festival will further strengthening Unity and Integration among the Participating Councils thereby improving and developing sports from the grassroots and Social Cultural heritage of the State
He Said the game will Serve as a training ground for the National Sports festival in Edo State as he urged athletes to do their best to justify the confidence repose in them.
