Man caught with 11 human skulls, brother, wife, 2 others whisked to Abuja

Suspected ritualist, Azeez Yakub and his wife Salima Azeez who were nabbed after 11 human skulls were discovered inside the roof of their house have been whisked to the Nigeria Force Headquarters, Abuja for further investigations, National Pilot can report.

According to a police source, the brother of Azeez, Soliu Yakub and Isah Wasiu and Abubakar Isiaka, who were said to be tenants in the building have also been transported to Abuja for discreet investigation.

Confirming the development, the Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Fafowora Bolaji informed our reporter, yesterday, that the suspects were taken to Nigeria Force headquarters for further investigation, adding that there is no any external influence attached to the development.

According to a source, Azeez ,who was arrested last Friday, bought a space bus the previous day telling friends he wanted to use the vehicle for inter- state transport.

“On Thursday, he went with the vehicle to carry out an illicit act and while coming back, he was trailed by vigilante men to his house. They subsequently reported the case to the police.

“After the Subhi prayer around 6 am, policemen invaded the house and arrested some suspects while the principal suspect was nowhere to be found. The officers searched the house, the rooms and later climbed the ceiling only to discover eight human heads,” the source disclosed.

The source added that Azeez’s wife, Salima who came to check on her husband discovered mammoth crowd in front of the house.

“When the wife put a call through to Azeez, the principal suspect asked her to meet him at a friend’s house at Ogidi. Unknown to her, a resident, who is a member of the Odua People’s Congress (OPC) heard the conversation and followed her without her knowledge.

“Upon sighting Azeez, the OPC man held Azeez and they began fighting before he put a call through to the police, who later arrived the scene and arrested the suspect.

“It was in the course of interrogation, that another three human skulls were later discovered in his apartment.”

It was gathered that the Police men from Adewole Police station took the suspects to ‘D’ divisional police station and later to police headquarters.
