Labour Party commiserates with Gov Ahmed over Olomu, Adesoye’s death
The leadership of the Kwara State chapter of the Labour Party has commiserated with Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed and the people of the state over the death of the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Charles Ibitoye and Asiwaju of Offa Land, Chief Abisoye Adesoye.
In a statement last night forward to this medium, Acting State chairman of the party, Comrade AbdulMumini AbdulKareem Onagun described their death as a great loss to the state.
I wish to commensurate with the people of Kwara State and in particular Irepodun LGA over the demise of Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Charles Ibitoye, a very astute and dedicated public servant before retiring from the state civil service and the people of Offa over the loss of the Asiwaju of Offa, Chief Emmanuel Abisoye, a great philanthropìst and educationist. May their souls rest in peace and may the Almighty give their families and the people of Kwara state the fortitude to bear the great loss.
Adewole APC chair dies at 45
The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adewole ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area of Kwara State, Alhaji Fatai Okanlawon has passed away.
He died on Saturday evening at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital after protected illness.
He was age forty-five.
The late Okanlawon during his life time served as a board member and the Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Ilorin West chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He later became the ward chairman of the APC in Adewole ward, the position he held until his death.
He was survived by two wives, Hajia Aminat Fatai and Hajia Iyabo Fatai and five children.
An APC elder in the ward, Saka Abimbola Isau (SAN) led other party stalwarts and scores of sympathizers to grace the Janazah prayer at his family compound, Kuntu area Ilorin.
His remains has been buried according to Islamic rites on Sunday.
According to the family source, Fidau would hold by 9:am on Wednesday at the his family Alagbede’s compound, Kuntu area Ilorin.
