Replicate Prophet character, righteousness

By Ahmed Ajikobi
The Imam of Sheikh Kamaldeen Al-Adabiy mosque, Agbo-Oba, Ilorin West
Local Government Area of Kwara State, Ustaz Ahmad Rufai has charged
Muslims to emulate the life style of Prophet Mohammad (SAW) by
replicating him in character and righteousness.
Imam Rufai noted this during his sermon at the Juma’at service
recently which heralded the traditional two units Solat that will
assist them gain Allahโs supreme reward of paradise and a shield
against his wrath.
According to him, Almighty Allah didn’t send the Prophet to only
preach to us about Islam alone us but also to demonstrate and teach
the Ummah on how to perfect our character to be able to relate very
well with Muslims and non Muslims alike.
โProphet Muhammad is the best in character and righteousness among
humans and heย demonstrate that with his relations with the people,
both Muslims and non Muslims alike. He is fond of helping anybody in
need irrespective of their religious disposition.
โHe was commissioned a Prophet and a messenger at the age of 40 but
his relationship with the people of Makkah was sublime and attracted
them to him. He delivered the message to his first family, relatives
and spread it to the world by writing letters to world leaders of his
time introducing Islam to them and informing them about the message.
โIt is very important that as Muslims, we understand the place and
role of religion in presenting Islam to the people, our families and
even non Muslims for them to appreciate the beauty of Islamic
monotheism.
โThere is need to therefore emulate the Prophet and adopt his style of
dealings with the people. This has been missing in the character of
some of us that professes the faith which has hampered the propagation
and beauty of the message of Islam.
