Nigeria Professional Football League club Akwa United reportedly ready to sign Brazilian star Alberico Da Silva on a free transfer.
The Uyo based team have agreed on personal term with the midfielder and he will reunite with his fellow countryman and former boss Rafael Everton who is the new coach of NPFL runner-up after replacing Abdu Maikaba who is now in charge of Plateau United.
Da Silva is noted for his versatility as he is able to play in both midfield and in the attack but the ball specialist has the added advantage of having prior experience in the Nigerian top flight having featured prominently for FC IfeanyiUbah in the past.
Akwa United are expected to announce the signing of the Brazilian in days to come as the club prepare to play in the continental after finish behind Lobi Stars.
