2019: KWASAA writes DSS over APC slogan

The Kwara State Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA) has written the Department of State Services, Kwara State over the slogan of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The slogan is: “Kwara, O TO GE,” which literally means Enough is Enough.
Speaking to National Pilot last night, the General Manager of the Agency, Alhaji Hamed Olufadi said KWASAA took the step following complaint by members of the public.
“We wrote the DSS because we were receiving complaints from members of the public and this was done to prevent a breakdown of law and order,” the agency boss explained.
Olufadi said the agency called the attention of the security agency to the matter so that it can handle it appropriately.
He debunked the allegation that the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari complained to the agency over the campaign slogan of the opposition party.
Meanwhile, the Kwara State ingnage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA) has stressed that the agency will not compromise rules and regulations guiding outdoor structures in the state.
The General Manager of the agency, Alhaji Hamed Olufadi stated this while speaking with newsmen in his office, saying that KWASSA is a government agency that will remain even after the expiration of present administration.
Olufadi decried attitude of some politicians and religious organisation as regards pasting of posters and erection of bill boards against existing laws.
He urged them to always co-operate with the agency for sanity to prevail, noting that KWASAA is saddled with responsibility of approving and monitoring placement of bill boards and posters.
He stated that the agency will not be biased in its operation, saying that the doors of his office is opened for enquiries and payment for  campaign and advertisement bill boards and posters as the electioneering is gathers momentum.
