Following the high court judgement that sacked the Bashiru Bolarinwa-led faction of the Kwara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the court recognised faction of Ishola Balogun-Fulani-led executive has announced a 10-man campaign committee for its governorship candidate, Hon Kayode AbdulWahab (Omotoshe).
Briefing newsmen over the development on Friday, the Chairman of the party, Hon Ishola-Balogun Fulani said the members of the committee have been painstakingly selected with the capacity to deliver the governorship and other candidates of the party.
He also announced the constitution of a reconciliation committee to work on aggrieved party members, saying he will inaugurate the committee early this week so that its members can start work in earnest.
Titled Kayode AbdulWahab Campaign Directorate, the council is led by Alhaji Jimoh Balogun as the Director-General.
Other are the DG South, Chief Christopher Ayeni, DG Kwara Central, Alhaji Ali Baba and Alhaji Othman Mohammed as the Director-General, North.
Others are Director of Publicity, Dr Dele Kayode (DELKA), Women Affairs, Hajia Tolani Ibrahim, Finance, Hajia Jibike Alabi, Youth Affairs, AbdulMumini Mohammed, Security, Alhaji Yusuf Morocco and Organisation, Hon Raheem Bello.
The APC chairman insisted that the midweek judgement directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise his executive committee and accept the list of candidates submitted by his group to the electoral umpire for the 2019 general elections.
Following the affirmation of the Balogun-Fulani faction as the authentic executives of the party, the Bolarinwa-led faction has rejected the verdict and accused the court of granting the prayers that was not sought by the former among other objections.
