Don’t be carried away by promises of ‘Tokunbo politicians’, Kwarans warned
The people of Kwara State have been warned against believing the fake promises of politicians who do not have interest of the masses at heart.
Chairman of the Aliagan Political Forum, Alhaji Abdullahi Aliagan issued the warning while commissioning a billboard in honour of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki in commemoration of his 56th birthday at Ode Aliagan Compound, Pakata road, Ilorin, Kwara State, last week.
In a statement signed by Secretary of the forum, Hajia Shifau Yakub Aliagan, the Chairman commended the Senate President for his leadership and selfless service to the people of Kwara State.
He said, “Dr. Bukola Saraki presently stands taller above his peers in the country because of his sterling leadership qualities and humanitarian services to Kwarans and Nigeria as a whole.
“The Senate President is well rooted in the state because he is more focused on making life worthy of living for the ordinary masses.
“The people of Kwara are the bedrock of Dr. Saraki’s success because we are solidly behind him and we will always support him. He has done much for the ordinary people of this state especially Ilorin Emirate, his immediate constituents.”
Aliagan therefore charged the good people of Kwara to shun the people he called “Tokunbo politicians” and join forces with Dr. Saraki in his bid to take Kwara and Kwarans to greater height. Ustaz Kale Agoro who led other clerics during a prayer session to mark Saraki’s celebration prayed for the success of the Senate President in the forthcoming election.
