Kwara FA charges local football council on grassroots development
The Kwara State Football Association has challenged the newly inaugurated state local football council to hunt for football talents in their various local government councils.
The state FA Chairman, Mallam Busari Ishola stated this on Thursday during the inauguration of the six local football council held at the Conference Room of the Kwara State, Ilorin.
Busari said the new local football council would be saddled with the responsibility of organising football tournament in their various councils.
The FA Chairman however advised the new members to justify their nominations into the local council and put up a good programme that would produce more talents that will represent the local government, state and Nigeria at large.
Also Speaking, Alhaji Toyin Olola, who is also a board member of the state FA charged the six newy inaugurated football councils to work assiduously to ensure they produce many talents for the state.
Reacting on behalf of other local government, Chief Afolalbi Salami, the Chairman of Ifelodun Football Council promised to develop the round leather game in their various councils.
Alloy Chukwemeka, who is a guest at the programme advised the football stakeholders in the state to ensure they organise peaceful election as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), is planning to stage the FA election across the federation.
