Members of Ilorin golf club and other neighboring clubs of Mic-Com golf and country club Ada and Ogbomoso golf club will for the 2nd week in a row fight for honours in another birthday competition
The tournament will hold Saturday 5th 2019 at the Ilorin Golf Club.
This time around the birthday competition of the Executive governor of Kwara state Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed after the one over the weekend in honour of the President of the Senate Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki
The governor’s birthday is on Saturday 29th of December 2018 and the 18 holes competition is being sponsor by a committee of friends in honour of the club’s Grand Patron.
Speaking to newsmen ahead of the competition club captain Prince Segun Oyinlola said the celebrant Dr. Abdufatah Ahmed is expected to perform the ceremonial tee.
Expected to take part in the competition are some of the celebrants aids , Ibrahim Adeyemi ,SSA government house,Abdulwahab Yusuf Babatunde ,Chief of staff government house, Saka Babatunde , SA Youth empowerment and a host of others while players such as current club champion Kunle Oyebanji, Jide Allen, Abdulmalik Mustapha, Kadiri Aminu and Sola Ologun are some of the players to watch out for.
Club Captain Oyinlola was full of praise for the club’s Grand Patron Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed who in no small measure has made the game of golf more popular among government functionaries in the State.
The closing ceremony and presentation of prizes to the winners will come up 7:00pm at the ultramodern Muhammed Lawal club house.
