Water: Saraki fixes 400 dysfunctional boreholes across Kwara

The chairman Committee of Boreholes Repair in Kwara South, Hon. Akeem Amao has said about four hundred dysfunctional boreholes have been repaired across the state to stem water scarcity in the state.
Amao, who dropped this hint in an interview with newsmen, said about one hundred motorised and hand pumps had been fixed across all senatorial districts of the state.
The imitative was the brainchild of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki under his constituency intervention scheme set up last year.
According to him, the gesture was meant to stop water scarcity in the state and applauded the people of the district for the support towards the programme.
Oyun, Irepodun, Ifelodun, Isin, Oke-Ero and Offa benefited from the ongoing phase of the intervention.
Amao, who was formerly the chairman for Kwara Central and North, said over hundred boreholes have been repaired in Central and North.
The Chairman therefore lauded Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed’s administration for listen to the yernings and aspirations of the people.
He disclosed that the initiative which tagged “ABS Water Intervention’ Initiative” was introduced mainly to complement the effort of the state government to ensure availabilities of water in the state.
Amao, who reassured the commitment of the committee to maintenance culture of all dysfunctional boreholes across the state, said no non functional Boreholes in the area would be left out in the operation.
