Ilorin Airport: NAMA relocates to new administrative building

The Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Ilorin International Airport has relocated to the newly constructed administrative building.

The agency moved from its temporary site to the new building within   the airport, last Saturday.

The Airspace Manager, Engr. Balogun Abiodun, however expressed satisfaction with the development, stressing that it aimed at improving operations towards ensuring safety at the airport.

He called on people of the Ilorin community to support their activities to enhance peaceful coexistence for the safety of the aviation sector.

Recall that the building, which was constructed by the Kwara State Governor, Dr Abdulfatah Ahmed, was commissioned on Thursday, 29th November 2018

The project constructed at a total cost of N60, 694, 567.43, is one of the several projects funded under the Kwara State Infrastructure Development Fund (IF-K).

The state government had over a decade ago demolished the NAMA edifice for the construction of the cargo terminal building and promised to build another one for the agency.

The construction of the 17-room office accommodation is a fulfilment of an agreement between NAMA and the state government.

The Governor was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Isiaka Gold during the commissioning ceremony.

He assured Kwarans that all ongoing projects embarked upon by the present administration will be completed before the expiration of his tenure.
