Islam abhors cheating on fellow human, KWASU Don warns Muslims

The Imam of Ilorin General Hospital Central Mosque, Dr Khalid Bello has advised Muslims to avoid cheating on their fellow humans irrespective of their religious affiliation.
Bello, who is also a Lecturer at the Department of Religion, Kwara State University Malete, added that Islam is a perfect religion thatย frowns at cheating on anybody irrespective of their faith.
He stressed that Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) warned against such attitude, adding that thosec who do that will not be among his (the Prophet) followers on the Day of Judgment.
The Don stated this during Friday sermon (Khutba) before the two-unit congregational prayer. He noted that Islam encompasses all aspects of life.
According to him, Islam has made provision for all aspects of live includingย ย the hereafter, adding that the institution of marriage which is the fulcrum on which the society is founded was comprehensively explained by the religion.
He said “Islam allow every Muslim to get married to a good wife and even taught us to seek Allah’s help against the Shaytan (devil) when having intercourse with our legitimate wife.
โIslam also taught us what to do when we give birth, things to do when our fellow dies. How we are to act and relate with our fellow Muslims and people of other faiths are all stated in the Qur’anโ, he added.
Bello tasked Muslims not to cherry pick when it comes to following laid down rules and regulations of Islam as demanded by the Qur’an and tradition of the Prophet (SAW).
โMuslims should follow all the instructions of Islam and do away with all what has been forbidden. We should allow Islam reflect in all daily activities and avoid cheating on fellow Muslims and non Muslims alike as demonstrated by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).โ
He further urged Muslims to be good ambassadors of Islam by being very useful members of their communities, adding that anyone that his family, community member or neighbour is not saved from his evil deeds is not a good Muslim.
He said it is incumbent on Muslims to strive for development of Islam. โEveryone wants to have money and be great in life but we fail to prioritise the development of Islam which entails greatest reward.โ
